More about Pastor Coleman:

Pastor Coleman has been a Senior Pastor since 2012 and has served at Katy’s First Baptist Church for the last six years. He is passionate about preaching verse-by-verse sermons that show God’s Word to be relevant for all of life. His desire for NEHBC is that God will showcase His presence and glory, through transformed lives, in undeniable and ever-increasing ways.

He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before entering full-time ministry, he worked as an engineer for a private consulting firm in Houston. Both growing up on the east side of Houston, Coleman and his wife Jennifer were High School sweethearts and have been married since July 2007. They have four children (Josiah-11, Levi-8, Hannah-7, Judah-3).

He enjoys anything sports-related (especially golf & Aggie Football), and also time in the woods or on the water. As a family, the Philleys love their tradition of camping at Garner State Park every summer, as well as seasonal trips of making magical memories at Disney.

It is only through the work of the Lord that this has happened so quickly! Please take time today to praise him for his faithfulness to NEHBC and thank him for filling this role in our church. We are so excited to see how God continues to work in and through NEHBC in the years to come to spread the gospel in Northeast Houston and among the nations!
