NEHBC NextGen Ministry 

The NextGen Ministries exist to equip 11-12th graders and 18-23 year olds to personally follow and continually abide in Jesus Christ, will all of their hearts, for all of their lives.

June Events

All Nextgen: deussen park picnic

Join us for our summer kickoff! Lunch (BBQ sandwiches) will be provided. Bring your favorite yard game, hammock, fishing rod and reel, or simply go for a walk by the lake with some friends. Also, Pastor Justin will be putting on a disc golf clinic for any who are interested in learning to play!

Ladies, this one's for you! Whether you are in The Way (11-12th graders) or The Vine (18-23s), join our new Women's Associate, Shelby Mason, every Saturday morning this summer for a time of fellowship and connection with your NextGen sisters in Christ.

During the summer months (June-August), we will meet on the first Wednesday of each month for a time of fun and fellowship, as well as diving deeper in discussion into the Psalms we will have covered in our LifeGroup in the preceding weeks. Dinner is provided. There will also be more time for games (and potentially swimming) than our usual Wednesday nights!

Our Thursday Abide Nights provide a vital supplement to our Sunday LifeGroup by creating a space for deeper conversations and connections with one another to take place. Join us, and bring a friend, classmate, or co-worker along with you!

All Nextgen: Secret Church 23: Jonah

Secret Church is an annual event led by David Platt that is live-streamed into homes and churches across the globe. Usually, this event runs from 6:00 pm - Midnight, but we will be watching the archived videos from the April 2023 event. In Secret Church 23, Platt walks through the book of Jonah with an eye toward our Great Commission role and responsibility in getting the gospel to the ends of the earth. We will also spend time praying for unreached, unengaged people groups (UUPGs) and for the persecuted church around the world, and specifically for those in Sudan, which is now on the brink of a civil war. We will take short breaks each hour and pause for lunch at noon.
